Description

The Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society is a non-profit, nationally accredited zoo with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Our lush campus boasts over 550 animals nestled amongst 23 acres of land, natural ponds and wetlands. Pathways lead guests beneath large Weeping Ficus trees, through Bald Cypress swamps and bamboo forests. Amongst jaguars and Mayan ruins, grows a massive Psuedobombax “Shaving Brush Tree”. An Indian Baynan tree sprawls in Tiger River, and bountiful Jackfruit and Black Sapote trees line the shore in front of Siamang Island. Our mission statement: “To inspire others to act on behalf of wildlife and the natural world”, drives us to teach our guests the importance of sustainable practices, maintaining native habitats, and protecting our natural ecosystem. Daily talks and signage connect guests to our collection of flora and fauna. We invite all ages to come explore our botanically lush tropical arboretum and get up close to wildlife from around the world at The Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society.
