Honolulu Botanical Gardens

The Honolulu Botanical Gardens is comprised of five unique gardens located on the island of O`ahu; Foster, Ho`omaluhia, Koko Crater, Lili`uokalani, and Wahiawā. Together, the gardens represent four ecological settings and cover 650-acres.  The system is municipally-supported and administered by the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Parks and Recreation.

The mission of the HBG is to curate, maintain, and study documented collections of tropical plants in an aesthetic setting for the purposes of conservation, botany, horticulture, education, and recreation.  The plant collections include approximately 5,000 taxa of trees and plants from around the world with an emphasis on Hawai`i's rare flora.
