Folly Tree Arboretum
Description
The Folly Tree Arboretum is a cultural archive of trees dedicated to environmental storytelling. Founded in 2013, the Folly Tree Arboretum works to promote an exuberant environmental ethic through art and science. Trees in the collection include a sycamore that went to the moon on Apollo 14, a tree whose fruits have become evolutionarily useless and an oak tree that owns itself. Folly Tree Arboretum produces projects that address human’s relationship to the natural world as well as supports the work of others who are developing new and creative methods of environmental story telling.
