The Arboretum at Regis University

Description

The Arboretum at Regis University is located on the Northwest Denver Campus and consists of more than 1,300 trees, 90 genera and 300 species. The Arboretum boasts nine champion trees, which are the largest of their species in existence in Colorado as designated by the Colorado Tree Coalition. Perhaps most impressive are the Arboretum's Acer and Quercus collections that consist of 27 and 21 individual species or subspecies respectively. The Arboretum at Regis University is open to the public from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. Arboretum brochures are always free and available to the public.

Among the Arboretum’s chief goals is to establish, display and showcase as diverse and vibrant a population of trees and other woody plants as possible to educate and encourage the public to support regional urban forests.

Regis University is a premier, globally engaged institution of higher learning in the Jesuit tradition that prepares leaders to live productive lives of faith, meaning and service. Regis University has four campus locations in the Denver metro area and Colorado Springs with more than 11,000 enrolled students
